Terms of Service
The service is not live yet. These terms describe Hindsight as it is intended to launch — as an Overwolf app, pending approval from Riot Games and Overwolf. Until then nothing described below is available to players, and no payment is taken.
Short version: Hindsight re-simulates Teamfight Tactics matches you have already played, so you can see what a different board would have done. It runs after the game, on data you give it. Use it to learn. Don't use it to cheat, and don't use it to attack the service.
Who this agreement is between
"Hindsight" is the service at hindsight.coach. "You" is the person using it. By using the site or an account, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.
What Hindsight is
A post-match coaching tool. It reads a match you have already played through the Overwolf API, and a deterministic combat simulator re-runs the boards from that match many times against the opponents you actually faced. The output is a win probability with a confidence interval, a suggested arrangement, and a measured explanation of why each change helps.
Every number in a report comes from simulation, not from a database of other people's games. The simulator is an independent model of the game's combat rules; it approximates them and can be wrong. Reports are informational. They are not a guarantee of any result in an actual match.
What Hindsight will never do
These are hard limits on the product, not just current behaviour:
- It gives no advice during a match. The app collects match data through the Overwolf API while you play, but it displays nothing, suggests nothing and notifies you of nothing until the match has ended. No overlay, no live win rates, no in-game hints.
- It does not read or modify game memory, hook the game client, inject code, or automate any part of play. Match data comes from Overwolf's official game events.
- It never asks for your Riot account credentials and cannot act on your Riot account.
- No gambling, betting, or wagering features of any kind.
- No cryptocurrency or blockchain integration.
- No alternative ranking system for players — no MMR or ELO estimate, no player leaderboard. Boards are scored; people are not.
- No de-anonymising players. Reports describe boards, not identities.
Your side of it
- Request analysis only for matches played on your own account.
- Don't use the service to build profiles of other players.
- Don't resell, rebrand, or redistribute reports as your own product, and don't scrape the service or run automated load against it.
- Don't try to extract, reverse-engineer, or reproduce the simulation engine. The engine runs on Hindsight's servers and is not distributed.
- One account per person. Don't share account access.
Accounts, subscriptions and cancellation
A free tier is available with a limited number of reports. Paid plans are billed in advance through an external payment processor acting as merchant of record; card details never reach Hindsight's servers.
You can cancel at any time from account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, and you keep access until then.
If the service is unavailable for an extended period through Hindsight's fault, email hello@hindsight.coach and a fair refund will be worked out. Prices may change for new subscriptions; existing subscribers are notified before any change that affects them.
Your data
What is collected and how to delete it is described in the privacy policy, which is part of these terms. In short: your match data and reports are yours, they are private unless you create a share link, and deleting your account removes them.
Availability and changes
Hindsight is offered as-is. It may be unavailable for maintenance, and features may change as the engine improves. Material changes to these terms will be announced by email to account holders before they take effect, and the date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
Ending it
You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time. Hindsight may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms — in particular the limits under "What Hindsight will never do" and "Your side of it" — or that is used to harm the service or other users.
Liability
Hindsight is a learning tool. To the extent the law allows, Hindsight is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid for the service in the twelve months before the claim.
Match data and your account
Hindsight reads match data through the Overwolf API, with your permission, and only for matches played on your own account. It never asks for your Riot password, cannot act on your Riot account, and cannot see anything the API does not expose. You can revoke that access at any time; doing so stops new reports, and deleting your Hindsight account removes the data already stored.
Relationship with Riot Games
Hindsight is an independent third-party project. It is not made by, endorsed by, or affiliated with Riot Games. Teamfight Tactics, League of Legends and related names and images are property of Riot Games, Inc., used here to describe the game the tool analyses.
